Back At The Carlton

After a great night spent meeting with fellow young Canadian professionals at a Canada 25 event (organized by Mr. McNair), I woke up to find that it is election day here in Britain. I've been invited to watch the election returns tonight at that great Tory bastion, the Carlton Club, at which I had a memorable evening in February. The Guardian has a great guide to election night, and it indicates to me that I'm going to miss the better part of the returns. It'll be a Labour majority, for sure, I'm guessing in the 70-80 area. The weather stinks today in London, and I imagine that'll somewhat suppress the turnout of tepid voters. Will blog tomorrow with some postgame.
